World Walking Day Walk and Picnic

Our club will be celebrating World Walking Day on Saturday, May 10th at our year round event (YRE) on Veteran’s Lake at the Chickasaw National Recreation Area in Sulphur.  The International Federation of Popular Sports will be providing certificates for us to hand out to anyone walking for credit.  We will also have a special stamp for your event and distance books as well.

Meet at the lake pavilion at 10am for the walk.  The registration book and stamp will be at the pavilion.  Then join us for a picnic afterwards at noon.  We will be serving bratwurst and you are welcome to bring a side dish or desert to share.  Invite a friend.  All are welcome.  We look forward to seeing everyone there!

April Meeting Canceled

Since our regular meeting time falls on Easter Sunday this month, our meeting for April has been canceled.  Please join us next month on our regular date and time, May 18th.  See the Meetings page for more details.

The Wandergruppe YRE Challenge

To qualify you will need to walk 8 of Wandergruppe’s YRE events in any consecutive four day period. Then send in all your start cards and fees together along with your T shirt size and a T shirt will be mailed to you.  In this challenge, all of Wandergruppe YRE walking events will qualify.
